Meet Miss Tania – Owner & Artistic Director

Tania Grahn has been part of the Steps family since 1988, beginning her dance journey as a “Steps baby” with Miss Fran as her first teacher. Over the years, she trained extensively in all styles of dance and completed her CDTA examinations in ballet, jazz, and tap. She was a dedicated member of the Steps Performing Company from her Mini to Senior years and developed her leadership through the S.T.E.P. teacher training program.

Miss Tania began teaching at Steps at just 15 years old and has continued to share her passion for dance ever since, including guest teaching at schools, studios, and camps. She remains committed to ongoing professional development by training in classes and workshops and earning certifications through various teaching associations. Outside the studio, she also brings her talents to community theatre as both a performer and choreographer.

For over 38 years, Steps has been Miss Tania’s second home. It has shaped her as both a dancer and a person, and she is honoured to carry on the legacy of the studio that helped raise her. Her goal is to continue building a space where dancers feel at home, grow in confidence, and develop their love for the art of dance.
